Just like the people you will find on this site, the name Eligon was carefully chosen. It was derived from the Latin word eligo, meaning 'selected'. Eligon caters to a select group of singles.
We were inspired to create Eligon in 2008, based on the demand for such specialized matchmaking services. We discovered that many high-profile professionals and executives wanted a new, safe and confidential method to find a quality partner. Discretion is of high importance, but so is the ability to meet people of equally high standards. Current 'public' dating websites and matchmaking agencies are unable to meet this need by their very definition; they are 'public'.
